Our Name

Wazakir (وذكِّر) — meaning 'And remind' — is taken from the Quran (51:55):

"And remind, for indeed reminding benefits the believers."

That verse is our charter. We exist to remind ourselves and our students of the Book of Allah, the language He chose for it, and the way of life that flows from it.

Our Story

Wazakir Academy is a London-based online Islamic education platform built around one simple idea: every Muslim, anywhere in the world, deserves access to a qualified Sheikh.

What used to require physical proximity to a great teacher — Al-Azhar, Madinah, or a local Sheikh in your city — is now possible through technology, time zones, and 1-on-1 video. We bridge that gap.

Our Teachers

We have over 50 certified tutors. Every single one is:

• A graduate of Al-Azhar or an equivalent institution
• A holder of Ijazah (in recitation, often in multiple Riwayat)
• A native Arabic speaker
• Trained in modern pedagogy for online instruction

We vet teachers heavily. Less than 1 in 10 applicants make it onto the platform.
